Sad occasions are an unavoidable part of life and we all experience the loss of family, friends and colleagues. Depending on whether the bereaved have decided on a traditional burial or cremation, a funeral bouquet or wreath is appropriate. Usually, the preference of sympathy wreaths is also mentioned in the obituary or in the guidelines of the chosen funeral home.
The skilled florists of Interflora arrange simple and modest but also more majestic flower arrangements for funerals in all colours using a variety of flowers.
A wide range of flowers are suitable for funeral bouquets and wreaths. However, lilies, carnations, chrysanthemums, roses and gladioli are most commonly used. Adding the favourite flowers of the deceased to the bouquet is always a nice touch. The traditional mourning colour is white, but other colours are also suitable.
Funeral ribbons with customisable text can be added to bouquets and wreaths. When filling in your order, please write the desired message in the box marked "Ribbon Text".
Sympathy and funeral bouquets and wreaths can be sent to the home address of the bereaved or to the funeral home. However, we do recommend sending the bouquets and wreaths to the funeral home to ensure that the flowers remain beautiful when they are received and to avoid additional chores on the day of the funeral.
Orders should be placed at least one or two working days prior to the funeral service. Since orders are delivered by a specified time, we require you to write the time of the service and other guidelines in the relevant box when filling in your order. When sending a flower arrangement to a funeral home, we recommend noting the name of the deceased as the recipient and then adding in brackets (deceased).
